Selection, fabrication, cleaning and application guidance
How Do You Select, Cut, Bend and Maintain Stainless Steel Pipe?
A stainless steel pipe is widely used in process systems, food equipment, drinking-water installations, chemical plants, architectural structures, exhaust assemblies and industrial fluid transport. Its corrosion resistance, mechanical strength and clean appearance make it suitable for applications where carbon steel may require frequent coating, painting or replacement.
Selecting the correct material requires more than choosing a diameter. The pipe grade, wall thickness, manufacturing method, surface finish, pressure requirement, connection method and operating environment must all be considered. The requirements for a stainless steel exhaust pipe are different from those for sanitary water transport, chemical processing or structural fabrication.
